Ecosystem

01/06 — ACCESS

Access without allegiance.

A broader ecosystem. An independent point of view.

TekFidelity works across leading technology platforms, infrastructure providers, engineering tools, and workplace systems. Those relationships expand what we can source, implement, integrate, and support. They do not determine what we recommend.

The right technology depends on the organization, the environment, the objective, and the evidence in front of us. It does not depend on which logo is easiest to sell.

Access is a supply question. Recommendation is a judgment question. We keep the two apart on purpose.

Where the line sits

02/06 — POSITION

Partnerships expand what we can deliver. They do not determine what we recommend.

A partner program is a supply agreement. It says what a firm is authorized to sell, deploy and support. It says nothing about what that firm believes is right for you. A partner badge is not evidence that anyone used it well.

Judgment is what a firm will say when the easy answer is also the profitable one. It is slower to build, it does not appear on a vendor page, and it is the thing a client is actually paying for.

The ecosystem, in one field

03/06 — FIELD

One test, applied to everything we can reach.

Breadth is what lets us source, implement, integrate and support across an estate. It is not what decides.

Input — business need

Every recommendation starts from what the organization is actually trying to do, and the constraints it has to live inside. Not from the product that was already picked.

Reach — where we work, and who stands behind it

  • CloudMicrosoft
  • NetworkCisco · HPE Aruba
  • WirelessEkahau
  • EdgeEricsson Cradlepoint
  • WorkplaceErgotron
  • CollaborationMicrosoft
  • PrintLexmark PartnerNet
  • End-user technologyDell Technologies

These relationships are not equivalent to one another, and this page does not present them as if they were. They differ in kind and in depth, and a name appearing here is not a claim that we sell it, only that we work with it. Where a relationship could reasonably affect a decision you are making, we will tell you exactly what it is before you make it.

Judgment — every option, through the same field

FitRiskIntegrationSecurityOperabilityLifecycleCostSupport

Applied together, not in sequence and not as a scorecard. No one of them decides on its own, and cost never decides alone. The same field is applied to every option, including the option of buying nothing.

The field produces one recommendation, and the reasoning that led to it.

The line that costs us money

04/06 — RETENTION

Sometimes the best recommendation is to keep what you already have.

A refresh cycle is not a strategy. A platform that is stable, supported, understood by the people who run it, and adequate for the next three years is not a problem waiting to be solved. It is a working asset, and replacing it carries a cost that rarely appears in the proposal.

Estates get replaced for bad reasons. A warranty lapsed. A roadmap slide landed. A renewal arrived before anyone measured whether the thing was actually failing. Where the evidence says the environment is sound, that is what we write down — and then we do the smaller, less profitable work: tune it, document it, close the one real gap, and give you a date to look at it again. We would rather tell you that and be right than sell you something and be busy.

A firm that cannot afford to reach that conclusion is not giving you advice. It is giving you a quote.

What we tell you, and when

05/06 — DISCLOSURE

You should always know why a name is on the page.

Some of these relationships have commercial value to us, and we do not hide that. Where TekFidelity would source or resell what we are recommending, we say so inside the recommendation, before you decide, rather than in the terms at the end.

Where we hold no relationship in a category and the right answer sits there anyway, we will name it and help you buy it elsewhere. Independence that only holds when it costs nothing is not independence.

We advise. We source where sourcing through us is genuinely better for you. We implement, we integrate with what is already in place, we validate that the result does what it was bought to do, and we support it once it is live. That is a real capability, and it is not where an engagement starts. The recommendation is produced first, from the evidence, and everything commercial after it is bound by it.

TekFidelity technology — not part of the ecosystem above

TekFidelityIQ and DebriefCore are TekFidelity-owned products, not partner relationships. They do not appear in the ecosystem field above for that reason. Like any other option, they are evaluated against fit, risk, integration, security, operability, lifecycle, cost, and support. If one of our own products is not the right answer for your environment, it does not go into the recommendation.

The next step

06/06 — NEXT

Not sure which platform actually fits?

Bring the constraint rather than the shortlist — the budget, the timeline, the system already in place, the thing that keeps breaking. Most of the useful work happens before anyone names a product.
