Twenty-five years doesn’t mean twenty-five years of the same thing. It means twenty-five years of learning what actually creates friction — and what it takes to remove it.

TECHNOLOGY

Twenty-five years of technology work started with one habit: asking what a system is actually for before asking what should replace it. It played out across enterprise and federal environments — infrastructure, networks, cloud, wireless systems, modernization — and it’s the starting point of every technology strategy TekFidelity builds.

LEADERSHIP

That question gets harder to answer at scale. As Branch Chief responsible for technology operations across 41 National Park Service locations, he led a distributed team of IT specialists — translating technical problems into decisions stakeholders could act on, while every competing priority, vendor relationship, and escalation still ran through someone accountable for the outcome. It’s the same discipline behind how TekFidelity approaches program and project leadership today, and why clients aren’t routed through layers of account management before reaching someone who can actually make the call.

OPERATIONS

Leading at that scale meant living inside operations, not just designing for them — distributed users, multiple sites, field conditions, infrastructure that had to hold up under constraints no design document accounted for. What survives contact with a real environment became the standard he still measures against: not whether a solution looks correct on paper, but whether it keeps working after everyone stops watching it.

MILITARY

That standard has roots further back, in the U.S. Army — a background spanning military intelligence, Nodel Networks, and human resources. Military intelligence work teaches a specific discipline: separate fact from assumption, weigh evidence, understand risk, and make a decision when the information is incomplete but improving. That discipline didn’t stay in uniform. It’s underneath every technology recommendation he’s made since.

ENGINEERING

It shows up most concretely in the engineering. Enterprise Wi-Fi design, predictive wireless design, RF engineering, spectrum analysis, infrastructure assessment, and validation across Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 environments are the deepest, most specialized layer of a foundation built over his whole career — the same networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud work already on the record in the stations before this one, not a new credential invented for this paragraph. Wireless is simply where that foundation is currently most active and most credentialed: he holds the ECSE-Design certification, and TekFidelity is an Ekahau reseller partner. TekFidelity works across a broader technology partner ecosystem while keeping recommendations independent. The certification documents a specialization inside a broader practice — it doesn’t define it. Strategy is more credible when the person recommending it has actually stood in the environment where it has to work, which is also why TekFidelity’s engineering work starts on-site, not in a slide deck.

AI

The same habit is what’s carried him into AI. Current work — retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, organizational knowledge capture, human-review and approval systems, AI-assisted analysis — is the same discipline applied to TekFidelity’s AI and automation practice: treat AI as something that has to earn its place inside a real workflow, not replace the judgment that workflow depends on. AI should accelerate analysis and improve judgment without removing human accountability.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Eventually the accountability stopped being something he practiced for other organizations and became something he owns outright. TekFidelity started as specialist wireless and infrastructure engineering and has grown into a broader technology, AI, and business transformation practice — and alongside it, he’s built and operated his own technology, not just advised on someone else’s. Proof that the recommendations come from someone who still has to live with the results.
